A downloadable mod

The Rythmius Music Mod is a music mod for the game, "Fractal Block World", developed by Dan Hathaway. It is a mishmash of various electronic genres and is mainly used to give myself practice for FL Studio.

This mod attempts to force a limited soundtrack down infinity's throat and say, "Here you go."

Yeah. Exactly like that.

There are currently 45 tracks in the soundtrack (and counting).

Although I may have said I would quit this mod in the past, I'm returning for several reasons:

  • My indie game isn't very music-heavy
  • My YT audience is hungry
  • It gives me something to detract from the daily grind of development and prevent burnout
  • I am not making music for anything else
  • Some large areas have been left music-less (including literally any area past the Orange in the Main Branch)
  • I have figured out how to add music to even more areas that aren't initially provided in the default music path list.

To enable the mod in the game:

0: Make sure that the mod folder is in the correct Steam folder. (instructions on the website above)

0.5: Unzip the zipped folder, and take out the folder within. Miss this step and it will not work.

1: Open up Fractal Block World.

2: Click on "Options".

3: Press the right arrow key to advance to the other option menu.

4: Select "Select Mods".

5: Select "Select Packages". A list of packages pop up.

6: Select the "xar" package.

7: Merge the mod and the "xar" package into the "Selected Mods" box. Do note that the "xar" package also requires the "base" package so merge that one as well.

8: If you want the main menu music to play, make sure to exit out of the "xar" package mod loader, then go to the "base" package and then merge it with the mod.

9: Restart the game and it should work!
